Having just returned from lovely Copenhagen late last night, we were feeling a little down - you know that feeling of deflation when your holiday is over. Yeah, that. Thankfully, Copenhagener FREJA's divine new track 'Lonely' was one of the first things on our stereo this morning. She calls her style 'power-pop', and yes, there's a tangible gravitas to 'Lonely' but it doesn't have a particular sense of urgency, something we'd often associate with the genre. We do love a subtle build though, and from its buzzing guitar chords down to thumping electronic beats via a wash of crisp bleached synthesizers, 'Lonely' wraps us up in woolly jumper and whisks us back to Denmark's picturesque capital, if only for a few minutes. - DC
